About

I’m Jemimah Nagasha, a Bitcoin open-source developer in Kampala, Uganda. I work full-time on Bitcoin and Lightning tooling, supported by a Btrust Starter Grant. My main project is Polar, a desktop app for running local Lightning Network environments.

I started out as a civil engineer. Here’s how I moved into Bitcoin open source.

Now I help others make the same move. I’m a faculty member of the Btrust Builders Program, where I support learners across the pathways, and I organise BitDevs Kampala, a monthly meetup for discussing and contributing to the research and development of Bitcoin and related protocols.

Outside of code, I love to read everything fiction.
